Legacy Farm is a healing place for horses.
About Bettina (Gates) Stevens
I have owned and operated Legacy Farm since 1996. Over the last 29 years, we have evolved into a healing place for all types of horses. We perform all forms of layups, diagnostics, pre, and postoperative care.
I started working on the racing circuit at the age of 19, gaining experience at major racecourses including Gulfstream, Calder, Arlington, Belmont, and Saratoga. I have bred and owned successful racing horses, and that background helps me understand the challenges our clients face.
Since owning Legacy Farm I have cared for many broodmares and foals in addition to horses that have health issues. Over the years, I developed an all-natural wound healing system that works significantly faster than conventional methods. This treatment can be applied at the farm or taught to horse owners to use at their own facilities.
A Lifetime with Horses
My childhood was steeped in horses. I rode in PeeWee Rodeos in Oklahoma, went foxhunting and three-day eventing in England, and my family was deeply involved in thoroughbred stud farms. Every experience along the way shaped the care philosophy we practice at Legacy Farm today.
“Horse racing is in my blood. It is my passion, it is my life, and I can't imagine a world where this is not my life's purpose.”
